The ESL Foundations program helps students navigate the English language, whether that be for getting better grades at school, being able to speak and write with confidence, or entering the job market.
Speaking and Listening Foundations
Students learn to use conversational grammar in everyday situations, including reacting and responding within a Canadian cultural context. Speaking and listening are developed through guided practice and communicative activities. In addition, students learn to identify and reduce specific pronunciation problems and to improve communication skills when speaking English.
Writing Skills
Students will build a solid foundation for writing, from basic to advanced, including grammar, sentence and paragraph writing, and using critical thinking for essay success.
This is the ideal environment for ESL students to ensure that they quickly acquire the skills they need to be successful. Students become fluent speakers and writers, and feel confident in achieving their goals.
